Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar Lays Foundation Stone for Kamgar Bhavan
Pune : Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister of the district, Ajit Pawar, laid the foundation stone for Kamgar Bhavan, to be constructed in Shivaji Nagar.
Present at the event were MP Dr. Medha Kulkarni, Labor Commissioner Dr. H.P. Tummod, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Chandrakant Pulkundwar, Pune Municipal Commissioner Rajendra Bhosle, Collector Dr. Suhas Day, Public Works Department Chief Engineer Atul Chavan, Additional Labor Commissioner Shailendra Pol, Superintending Engineer Bappa Bahir, and Deputy Labor Commissioner Abhay Gite, among others.
About Kamgar Bhavan: Currently, several offices under the Ministry of Industries, Power, and Labour, including the Office of the Additional Labor Commissioner, Pune Division, the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Labour, Pune District, the Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health, and the Maharashtra Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, among others, operate from various locations across Pune.
To centralize these services, a spacious, high-quality administrative building will be constructed at Bungalow No. 5, Mumbai-Pune Road, Shivajinagar. Additional Labor Commissioner Shailendra Pol stated that the new Kamgar Bhavan will bring various departments under one roof, benefiting workers, their representatives, employer representatives, legal experts, and citizens seeking to access various Labor Department schemes.
