Governor Shri Patel inaugurates Swachhata Sathi “Wash on Wheels Service” in Chhindi
Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel on Thursday launched Swachhata Sathi “Wash on Wheels Service” in Chhindi. This innovation is the first such programme not only in the district but in the state which will ensure regular and effective cleaning of institutional toilets. During this, Governor Shri Patel was welcomed by the Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Chhindi by offering a crown made of Chhind.
Features of Swachhata Sathi Wash on Wheels Service
Lack of cleanliness is often seen in most institutional toilets, which affects the utility and condition of the toilets. To overcome this deficiency, the district administration has taken this unique initiative. It has been implemented under the guidance of Collector Shri Sheelendra Singh and the leadership of CEO of District Panchayat Shri Agrim Kumar.
Operation of the service
One cluster has been formed from 3 Gram Panchayats in each of the 11 Janpads of the district. These teams have been provided with ultramodern equipment and safety kits, which include electric and battery operated washing machines.
Cleaning process
This service will go to schools, Anganwadis, hostels and community toilets and clean the toilets.
Economic benefits
This scheme will provide employment to sanitation workers as well as a monthly income of about Rs 20,000.
This initiative will play an important role in giving a new direction to the cleanliness campaign in the district as well as strengthening the sanitation system in rural areas. On this special occasion, MP Shri Vivek Bunty Sahu, Amarwara MLA Shri Kamlesh Pratap Shah, Collector Shri Sheelendra Singh, CEO District Panchayat Shri Agrim Kumar, MP Bharia Development Authority Tamia Chairman Shri Dinesh Kumar Angaria, former District Panchayat President Smt. Kanta Thakur, District Coordinator Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin Sudhir Krishak and other key officials were present.
