Chief Minister Dr. Yadav initiates Bundelkhand Hackathon 2024, Empowering the Dreams of Bundelkhands Youth: Minister Shri Rajput
The regional investor conclave, initiated by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, has opened doors for recognizing local youth talent. Following this vision, the Bundelkhand Hackathon-2024, organized in Sagar, is poised to be a landmark event. Today, as we gather at this hackathon, Bundelkhand’s talent is ready to capture global attention. This event is not merely a competition but a launchpad for our youth to realize their aspirations. Food and Civil Supplies Minister Shri Govind Singh Rajput shared these views during the inauguration. He proudly highlighted how India has emerged as the third-largest start-up nation globally. Now, cities like Sagar are gearing up to make their mark in this start-up wave, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with cities like Delhi and Bengaluru. The youth here possess the same drive and potential; all they need is the confidence to unleash it.
The solutions developed in this hackathon can be game-changers, not only for Sagar or Bundelkhand but for the entire country. Every huge company starts with a small idea.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, is committed to standing alongside the youth, with the vision of transforming Sagar into a leading start-up hub. If the youth of Bhopal and Indore can achieve success, there’s no reason the youth of Sagar should be left behind. Local MLA Shri Shailendra Jain also shared his thoughts, reinforcing this belief.
Notably, 60 teams presented future solutions through start-ups in the Bundelkhand Hackathon. Two start-ups were offered on-the-spot funding. Women from Bundelkhand also showcased their talent in the start-up presentations. The start-up solutions included innovative ideas for managing stray animals, management systems for street vendors, digital platforms to promote local artists and crafts of Bundelkhand, sustainable alternatives to traditional plastics, apps to enhance awareness and performance of government policies, AI-based solutions for water management and conservation, and IoT tools to increase agricultural productivity using technology. Over the next six months, selected projects will be coordinated with government departments, and a pilot project of one lakh rupees will be launched.
On September 27, the winners will be awarded during the regional investor summit in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. The first prize will be 1.51 lakh rupees, the second prize 1 lakh rupees, the third prize 71 thousand rupees, the best female entrepreneur will receive 1 lakh rupees, and the best social media creator will be awarded 51 thousand rupees.
