All India Forest Sports Competition organized in Raipur from 16 to 20 October

The state of Chhattisgarh is going to be the proud host of the 27th All India Forest Sports Competition 2024. This prestigious sports competition will be organized from 16 to 20 October 2024 in Raipur under the aegis of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. This event is an important occasion for Chhattisgarh, which will showcase the sporting talent of the state and the excellent efforts of the Forest Department.

In this sports festival, players of forest department from all over the country will participate in various sports competitions. The main attraction of the competition will be the presence of Paris Olympics 2024 medalist and world-renowned shooter Manu Bhaker in the closing ceremony to be held on October 20, who will encourage the players.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, the state’s preparations are going on in full swing. Under the guidance of Principal Chief Forest Conservator and Forest Force Chief Shri V. Srinivas Rao and Nodal Officer Smt. Shalini Raina, the state’s players are working hard under the supervision of professional coaches. High-class accommodation and nutritious food have been arranged for the players at the Forest Complex Pandri, Raipur, so that they can maintain their fitness and perform at their best.

The Chhattisgarh team will have to face tough competition from players from different states and institutions in this competition, for which the team is fully motivated and full of confidence. Among the prominent players of Chhattisgarh, the name of international badminton player Sangeeta Rajagopalan is especially noteworthy, who has brought pride to the state by winning more than 100 gold medals. The Chhattisgarh basketball team, which has played under the leadership of Shri Arun Prasad, IFS and Shri Jagdishan, IFS, has remained undefeated in the last nine tournaments. Similarly, the state’s cricket team has also proved its superiority by winning seven consecutive competitions. This year too, excellent performance is expected from the players of these teams.

The players of the state will participate in this prestigious competition with high morale and confidence this year too. Chhattisgarh has full hope from its players to perform brilliantly and add another successful chapter.
