Controversy Over Samantha and Naga Chaitanya’s Divorce: Telangana Minister Konda Surekha’s Remarks

Telangana Minister Konda Surekha recently found herself embroiled in controversy after making remarks about the divorce of actors Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. In Hyderabad, Surekha alleged that KT Rama Rao, the working President of Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS), was involved in phone tapping and blackmailing actresses, which she claimed contributed to Samantha’s divorce.

Following widespread criticism, Surekha took to social media to clarify her comments. She explained that her intention was not to target Samantha but to question KT Rama Rao’s treatment of women. Surekha expressed her admiration for Samantha’s resilience and independence, offering to retract her remarks if they caused any offense.

Actor Nagarjuna Akkineni condemned Surekha’s statements, criticizing the use of actors’ personal lives to make political attacks. He urged public figures to respect the privacy of individuals. Samantha also responded, stating that her divorce was a mutual decision and requested an end to the ongoing speculation around her personal life.

In light of the controversy, KT Rama Rao issued a defamation notice to Konda Surekha, accusing her of making baseless claims aimed at damaging his reputation. He demanded an immediate retraction of her statements.
