Deeksha Day: Devnani Stresses Inner Peace in Modern Life
Jaipur – Rajasthan Vidhan Sabha Speaker Shri Vasudev Devnani extended his greetings and congratulations to the people on Deeksha Day at Shri Digambar Jain 1008 Chandraprabh Mandir, Jaipur, on Thursday.
During the event, Speaker Shri Devnani paid his respects to Muni Shri Archit Sagar and expressed the importance of following the path shown by Muni Shri. He noted that Diksha represents the renunciation of worldly desires and encompasses the five great vows (Mahavratas): non-violence, truth, celibacy, non-stealing, and renunciation of possessions. Embracing this path in today’s materialistic age is both unique and challenging. The blessings of sages, Shri Devnani said, inspire an ascetic way of life, which is often difficult to fathom in modern times. The principle of limiting one’s material wealth, though difficult to practice, is a source of pride. Stress is at the root of many problems, and practicing Sadhana (spiritual discipline) is essential to alleviate it.
Shri Devnani emphasized that inner peace is the key to solving problems. Following the path of non-violence (Ahimsa) brings happiness to one’s life, even amidst the responsibilities of a householder’s life. This is the essence of life. Shri Devnani urged attendees to come to the Pandal for Muni Shri’s discourses with a focused mind, setting aside other distractions. He highlighted that initiation (Diksha) leads people onto the right path and encouraged families to attend the Santvani, which would help reduce stress in the materialistic age.
