Project Pushpak Chief Engineer In Mizoram Meets Governor
Aizawl : Project Pushpak Chief Engineer Pu Girish Prasad Singh met with Mizoram Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati to discuss the initiatives of the Border Road Organisation (BRO) in Mizoram. The meeting was convened to address important issues affecting the development of Mizoram’s infrastructure and to facilitate discussions on the BRO’s ongoing projects and future plans.
Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati emphasized the significance of BRO’s operations in Mizoram, highlighting the need for enhanced coordination and cooperation. He pointed out that the state has unique challenges that hinder its connectivity with the rest of the country, underscoring the importance of BRO’s work in improving infrastructure and access.
The Governor acknowledged the critical role of Project Pushpak in addressing the state’s infrastructural needs and expressed hope for its successful implementation. He also discussed how the project could significantly benefit the local economy, enhance connectivity, and promote tourism.
During the meeting, the Pushpak Chief Engineer outlined the BRO’s plans for new projects in the region, emphasizing the need for proper management of resources and efficient project execution. He highlighted that the road projects are crucial not only for local connectivity but also for defense, tourism, and economic development. The Chief Engineer informed the Governor that on October 12, 2024, 75 BRO projects are scheduled to be inaugurated by Defence Minister Pu Rajnath Singh in Sikkim, which further underscores the importance of timely execution and collaboration.
