The Loss of a Beacon of Humanity, Charity, and Trust: Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis Pays Tribute to Ratan Tata
Mumbai : With the passing of veteran industrialist Ratan Tata, the nation has lost a towering figure who exemplified the values of humanity, charity, and trust. In his condolence message, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed that Tata’s death signifies the loss of these virtues for the country.
Ratan Tata was not only a successful businessman, but he was also revered as a symbol of community spirit, humanity, and humility. His contributions in education, rural development, addressing malnutrition, and improving health care were remarkable. Beyond economic growth, his work in uplifting humanity is unparalleled. He firmly believed in giving back to society what he earned from it. From the cancer care facilities established by Tata Trust to the recently inaugurated animal hospital in Mumbai, his compassion was evident in every initiative.
Fadnavis recalled several personal interactions with Tata, particularly when the Village Social Transformation Foundation was established during his tenure as Chief Minister. Tata was deeply involved and attended many of the meetings. His active support was instrumental in initiatives like ‘Magnetic Maharashtra,’ aimed at boosting investment in the state, and the creation of the National Cancer Institute in Nagpur, where his guidance was invaluable.
Ratan Tata’s departure is a profound loss, not just for Maharashtra but for the entire country, Fadnavis added.
