Mumbai: Following the recent passing of Padma Vibhushan Ratan Naval Tata, the esteemed Chairman of the Tata Group, Noel Naval Tata has been named the new Chairman of Tata Trusts. As Ratan Tata’s half-brother, Noel Naval Tata will assume the role immediately, according to a statement released by Tata Trusts on Friday.
The trustees of the various trusts that form Tata Trusts convened in Mumbai to express their condolences for Ratan Tata’s passing and acknowledge his invaluable contributions, not only to the Tata Group but also to the nation. During the meeting, the trustees fondly recalled his legacy in both corporate and philanthropic arenas.
In subsequent meetings, it was unanimously agreed to appoint Noel Naval Tata as the Chairman of the multiple trusts under the Tata Trusts umbrella.
