Tourism Minister In Sialsuk Vc – Thingpui A Inpui

Aizawl : Today at 12:00 PM, Ms. Lalrinpuii, the Tourism Minister, hosted a meeting in her office chamber regarding Sialsuk village, which has been awarded the title of ‘Best Tourism Village’ in the community-based category for India. The meeting was attended by Dr. Lalrozama IAS, Secretary of the Tourism Department, along with officers from the Tourism Department.

During the meeting, Minister Lalrinpuii discussed the significance of community-based tourism and highlighted the potential for tourism development in the village. She emphasized that Sialsuk is not only a beautiful village but also has the capacity to attract tourists due to its rich cultural heritage and natural beauty. She pointed out that the government has a responsibility to support local communities in enhancing their tourism initiatives. Furthermore, she acknowledged the importance of community involvement in tourism, as it can contribute significantly to the overall economic development of the village.

Additionally, Sialsuk Village Council President, Mr. R. Lalruatkima, provided a report on the conditions necessary for the village to achieve the title of Best Tourism Village. Dr. Lalrozama IAS reiterated the importance of maintaining tourism standards in Mizoram, which should be a priority for all stakeholders involved. The recognition of Sialsuk in the community-based category as the best tourism village in India reflects the collective efforts of both the village community and the Department of Tourism.

The Best Tourism Village Award for the community-based category will be officially presented on 27 September 2024 by the Vice President of India and the Union Minister for Tourism and Culture. This event will further promote Sialsuk as a prime tourist destination.
