State Government Eager to Encourage Entrepreneurs – Minister of Industries and Commerce, MoUs Signed for ₹2,200 Crore Investment.
Jaipur : The state government is committed to encouraging maximum investment and supporting entrepreneurs. Adequate facilities will be provided for the establishment of industries. The investment made through the Barmer Investment Summit will serve as a milestone for the future. It is a moment to be written in history. This was stated by the Minister of Industries and Commerce, Mr. K.K. Vishnoi, while addressing the entrepreneurs during the district-level investment summit held at Haveli Resort, Barmer District Headquarters, on Wednesday.
Minister of Industries and Commerce, Mr. K.K. Vishnoi, stated that the Rajasthan government stands with entrepreneurs at every step to ensure that their investments are prosperous and secure. He urged for increased investment in Barmer district to establish new dimensions of development in the state. He also mentioned that both the central and state governments are providing various facilities to encourage entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs can sign MoUs for investment even at the state-level summit. He added that, for the first time, the state government has sent high-level delegations and IAS officers abroad to attract investors and innovators to Rajasthan. Minister Vishnoi said that Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma is currently visiting Germany for this purpose. Positive outcomes have started to emerge from the favorable environment created for investment in Rajasthan. Since the announcement of the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024, MoUs worth over ₹15 lakh crore have been signed within two months.
Chauhatan MLA Mr. Adooram Meghwal congratulated the entrepreneurs, noting that many entrepreneurs from Barmer district have achieved significant progress in a short time. He encouraged other entrepreneurs to take inspiration and invest in various sectors to contribute to Barmer’s development.
Barmer District In-charge Secretary Mr. Subir Kumar noted that the perspective of Barmer district has changed. In recent years, new dimensions of development have been established in Barmer.
At the end of the program, Barmer District Collector Tina Dabi expressed her gratitude to the entrepreneurs and departmental officials for the successful organization of the district-level investment summit, stating that this would establish new milestones for development in Barmer district. She remarked that the investment of ₹2,200 crore in Barmer is a historic moment, which will open doors for the progress of local people along with development in various sectors.
President of Laghu Udyog Bharati, Mr. Ishwarlal Balad, appreciated the Rajasthan government’s policy of promoting industries and suggested that additional efforts should be made to provide electricity, water, and land at concessional rates.
MoUs for ₹2,200 Crore Investment
During the district-level investment summit in Barmer, in the presence of Minister of Industries and Commerce Mr. K.K. Vishnoi, In-charge Secretary Mr. Subir Kumar, District Collector Tina Dabi, Superintendent of Police Narendra Singh Meena, and Chauhatan MLA Adooram Meghwal, 151 entrepreneurs signed MoUs for investment worth ₹2,200 crore with the district administration. The largest investment was by Kishor Singh Kanod, who signed an MoU for ₹1,225 crore, including ₹1,000 crore for the renewable energy sector, ₹200 crore for an agricultural university, and ₹25 crore for hotel construction. Additionally, Jogendra Singh Chauhan of Messrs. Tansingh Chauhan signed an MoU for ₹171 crore, Kailash Mehta for ₹161 crore, and JSW for ₹28 crore.
