Japan Rama Caregiver Awareness Seminar Held

Aizawl : The Labour Employment Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (LESDE) Department, in collaboration with the National Skill Development Corporation International, organized an awareness seminar titled “Awareness Seminar on Caregiver Program in Japan” for prospective caregivers.

Mr. Jin Enamoto, Manager of New Business Development at Sompo Care Inc Japan, and Mr. Kazunari Honda, Sr. Leader of Global Strategy, were present at the event. They discussed their company’s operations, the opportunities for Indian nationals to work as caregivers in Japan, and the necessary qualifications and skills required for this role.

Mr. Sunny Kumar, Manager at NSDCI, also spoke about the interview and admission processes, emphasizing the importance of learning the Japanese language, understanding cultural nuances, and preparing for various examination requirements. He mentioned the availability of skill loans to support candidates in their training endeavors.

The seminar was led by Pi Angela Zothanpuii, Director of LESDE. She highlighted the department’s commitment to improving employment opportunities for skilled workers, noting that the LESDE department is actively facilitating the training of nurses for work in Japan. Currently, there are 40 candidates undergoing Japanese language training. She also discussed the various training centers under NSDCI, emphasizing the need for skilled workers who are ready to seize opportunities in Japan.

The program is aimed at training individuals in courses such as B.Sc Nursing, GNM, ANM, GDA, and Geriatric Caregiving. The seminar attracted around 50 participants eager to learn more about these opportunities.
