Nayab Singh Saini Set to Be Sworn in as Haryana Chief Minister
On October 17, Nayab Singh Saini will officially take the oath of office as Haryana’s Chief Minister for a second term. The ceremony is scheduled for 10 am at Dussehra Ground in Panchkula, Sector 5. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be present at the event, accompanied by senior BJP officials and Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers from NDA-ruled states.
After the oath-taking, a meeting involving Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers from NDA-ruled states will convene in Chandigarh at 4 pm, with all NDA leaders invited to participate in the discussions.
Saini’s election as the leader of the Haryana BJP Legislature Party was confirmed in a meeting led by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who credited the party’s success to the developmental narrative championed by Prime Minister Modi. The BJP achieved a significant victory, winning 48 out of 90 seats in the assembly, while Congress captured 37 seats.
Amit Shah emphasized that Haryana stands out as the only state purchasing all 24 crops and leading in minimum support price (MSP) acquisitions. He also responded to opposition criticisms regarding the Agniveer scheme, assuring that it will revitalize the military and offer pensionable jobs to returning Agniveers.
