Ensure Rapid Delivery of Central and State Government Schemes to Every Farmer – Chairman, Rajasthan Kisan Commission
Jaipur : On Thursday, Mr. C.R. Choudhary, Chairman of the Rajasthan Kisan Commission, conducted a review meeting of the Agriculture and Allied Departments at Pant Krishi Bhawan. The meeting focused on assessing the physical and financial progress of the departments, as well as the schemes implemented for the benefit of farmers.
Mr. Choudhary emphasized the need to maximize benefits for farmers in every possible way and ensure that all central and state government schemes reach every farmer promptly. He directed all officials to achieve the allocated targets within the specified timelines.
The Chairman also discussed various initiatives, such as increasing the target for farm ponds, enhancing subsidies for fencing, and planning the construction of stone walls along with fencing in eastern Rajasthan. He stressed the need to ensure the availability of DAP fertilizer and certified seeds, expand the area under natural farming, and promote it as a common practice.
Mr. Choudhary further suggested starting subsidies for tractors above 20 HP, introducing innovations in gaushalas (cow shelters), maintaining cleanliness, and distributing wheat seeds that require less water to farmers. He instructed the relevant officials to provide timely compensation for crop damage, promote organic farming, and improve facilities in markets for selling organic products.
The meeting was attended by Member Secretary and Commissioner of Agriculture Ms. Chinmayi Gopal, Chairman of Rajasthan State Warehousing Corporation Mr. Sandeep Verma, Commissioner of Horticulture Mr. Suresh Kumar Ola, Director of Agricultural Marketing Mr. Rajesh Kumar Chauhan, Director of Animal Husbandry Mr. R.S. Naga, and other departmental officials.
