Applications Invited from Ex-Servicemen/Former Paramilitary Personnel

Applications are invited from ex-servicemen and former paramilitary personnel under the age of 50 as of July 1, 2024, for various positions on a contractual basis (extendable as needed) in the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) of the Tamil Nadu Police. Candidates must have passed SSLC or SSC, served a minimum of 10 years in the military or paramilitary forces, and possess qualifications from training in bomb detection and disposal conducted by the Army, NSG, CAPF, or CME/Pune. Additionally, they should have relevant experience in this field and be proficient in Tamil and English.

Positions available:

1. Inspector – BDDS (Ex-Subedar/Subedar Major) – 7 vacancies, Pay Scale: ₹37,700-₹1,19,500
2. Assistant Inspector – BDDS (Ex-Naib Subedar) – 21 vacancies, Pay Scale: ₹36,900-₹1,16,600
3. Junior Constable – BDDS (Ex-Havildar/Naik) – 36 vacancies, Pay Scale: ₹20,600-₹65,500

Eligible candidates should send their applications along with a biodata and copies of necessary certificates to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Operations, No. 17, Poonamallee High Road, Raja Annamalai Puram, Chennai-28, by post, before November 14, 2024.

Shortlisted applicants will be called for certificate verification and selection tests (written and practical), and will receive individual call letters for the recruitment process, which is subject to rules and conditions.
