Manipur CM N Biren Singh Meets Kiren Rijiju to Address Development Projects
On Sunday, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh met with Union Minister Kiren Rijiju in New Delhi to discuss a range of developmental projects for the state. The meeting aimed at advancing various initiatives, with CM Singh accompanied by Youth Affairs Minister Govindas Konthoujam and other senior officials.
During the discussion, Chief Minister Singh proposed the construction of a “world-class football stadium” in Manipur, along with several other key projects aimed at fostering growth and enhancing infrastructure. He highlighted the importance of such developments in nurturing local talent and promoting sports in the region.
Following the meeting, CM Singh shared details on his X handle, stating, “Met with Shri @KirenRijiju Ji, Hon’ble Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs, alongside our Hon’ble Minister of Public Works Department, Youth Affairs & Sports, Shri @KonthoujamG, and other officials in New Delhi.”
He further mentioned that discussions focused on accelerating major development projects under the Ministry of Minority Affairs, including the proposal for the football stadium, which aims to boost sports and provide better opportunities for athletes in Manipur.
