U.S. Ambassador Meets with Chief Minister, CM Bhajanlal Sharma Invites American Investors to ‘Rising Rajasthan’

Jaipur : On Monday, U.S. Ambassador to India, Mr. Eric Garcetti, met with Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma at the Chief Minister’s Office. During the meeting, the Chief Minister invited Mr. Garcetti and American investors to attend the ‘Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit,’ scheduled to take place from December 9 to 11.

On this occasion, Mr. Sharma highlighted the vast investment opportunities in the state, particularly in renewable energy, mining, IT, and manufacturing sectors. He noted that Rajasthan leads the country in solar and wind energy. The Chief Minister also mentioned the upcoming tourism policy, which will offer various benefits to investors. He pointed out ongoing efforts in skill development, IT, infrastructure modernization, and defense technology, creating ample opportunities for investment.

Mr. Sharma emphasized American partnership and cooperation in climate action, sustainable development, green technology, healthcare and medical research, and tourism. He also invited American universities to open campuses in Rajasthan and collaborate in areas such as GCC and data centers. Ambassador Garcetti expressed interest in supporting women’s development, energy, urban development, sports, and more. The delegation led by Mr. Garcetti showed keen interest in the proposals presented by the Chief Minister.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Damon Dubord, Economic Affairs Officer at the U.S. Embassy; Senior Political Advisor Mr. A. Sukesh; Vice Consul Mr. Alexander White; Political Officer Mrs. Hina Rao; Additional Chief Secretary (Chief Minister’s Office) Mr. Shikhar Agarwal; and Principal Secretary for Industries Mr. Ajitabh Sharma.
