Samast Mahajan Samaj Honours Chief Minister at Sri Viramgam Panjarapol

Gandhinagar : Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel stated that our culture is rooted in compassion, inspired by Lord Mahavir’s teaching of “Ahimsa Paramo Dharma” (Non-violence is the highest principle). He mentioned that non-violence goes beyond the protection of the Gau Mata (Cow); it includes a profound empathy for all living beings, which is vital for life. By acting sensitively toward every creature, we invite God’s blessings. The Chief Minister was addressing a public felicitation ceremony organized by Samast Mahajan Samaj at the Sri Viramgam Khoda Dhor Panjarapol Sanstha.

In his address, the Chief Minister praised Mahajan Samaj for their years of dedicated and selfless service in saving lives. He assured them of continued support from the state government, acknowledging their commendable spirit. The CM reaffirmed that the government will always stand by them in times of need. The Chief Minister also noted that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi initiated ‘Pushu Arogya Mela’ for animal welfare. As a result, Gujarat now has one veterinary clinic for every ten villages. Highlighting the government’s commitment to protecting every living being, the CM mentioned that during the lumpy virus outbreak, arrangements were made for comprehensive treatment and medication for animals.

The CM emphasized that as part of the Catch the Rain Abhiyan, 75 lakes have been constructed in each district of Gujarat to help raise the water table. He observed that while our land and health are deteriorating, both Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Governor Shri Acharya Devvrat are advocating for cow-based natural farming. Therefore, we need to prioritize our health by adopting natural farming practices. Emphasizing the significance of cleanliness, the Chief Minister noted that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has launched ‘Swachhta Abhiyan’ across India. The CM encouraged everyone to embrace cleanliness as a way of life, ensuring that our homes, courtyards, and neighbourhoods remain clean and beautiful. He remarked that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is a prime example of how one person can bring about substantial change. The country has undergone a remarkable transformation under the leadership and vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

At the event, the Minister of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Shri Raghavji Patel announced that presently, 90 per cent of cows are delivering high-quality calves thanks to the adoption of advanced insemination technologies. He encouraged cattle breeders to take maximum advantage of these innovations. The Minister also discussed various initiatives launched by the state government, such as organizing Pashu Arogya Mela to facilitate the treatment of animals. He noted that the government is dedicated to the economic development of Gujarat through livestock, with 565 animal ambulances currently in operation to ensure the better health of animals. He reaffirmed the government’s proactive stance on cattle development and breeding. The Chief Minister unveiled the plaque, planted trees, and flagged off the Animal Ambulance. 

At the event, MP Shri Chandubhai Sihora, MLA Shri Hardik Patel, Saints, Managing Trustee of Samast Mahajan Dr. Girish Shah, Smt. Varsha Doshi, along with members of Samast Mahajan, officials, animal welfare enthusiasts, and a large number of villagers remained present.
