MP marching towards being world class services in medical field: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is moving rapidly towards providing world-class services in the field of medicine. Madhya Pradesh government has made efforts to increase private participation in the medical field. A provision of Rs 20 thousand 439 crore has been made for the health sector in the budget for 2024-25. The Medical Education Department and the Public Health and Family Welfare Department have been merged to increase the efficiency of health services. At present 17 government medical colleges are operating in the state. Government medical colleges will start in Singrauli and Sheopur from the next session. Apart from this, 6 other new government medical colleges will start operating in the next two years. It has been decided to establish medical colleges in PPP mode.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav addressed the programme through a video conference on the inauguration of the center of French organization IRCAD in Indore. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav congratulated Dr. Vinod Bhandari of Aurobindo University, Indore for starting this center and wished them success.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav gave detailed information about the special work being done in the field of health and medicine in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the number of MBBS and PG medical seats is being increased in the state, so that there is no shortage of qualified doctors in the state. The state government has made efforts to develop a world-class medical infrastructure. In this, new nursing colleges and paramedical institutions are being established in the medical college campuses. Four new super specialty hospitals have been started in Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur, and Rewa. Apart from this, a hospital with a one-thousand-bed capacity has also been started in Gwalior.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that more than 1200 primary health centers have been connected to telemedicine service on the PPP model. 45 types of health checkups are being conducted in health centres.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Indore has emerged as the pharma hub of the country. The largest medical device park is being developed in Ujjain. Arrangements have been made to airlift critically ill patients and accident victims from remote areas of the state and send them for treatment. Heart surgery, cancer treatment, and organ transplantation are being done at affordable rates in the state. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the country is continuously progressing in the field of medical tourism. Dr. Bhandari expressed gratitude for the participation of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav in the programme. He said that the initiative started in collaboration with IRCAD to impart knowledge of surgery and medical research through binoculars is a unique initiative of its kind in the state. Continuous efforts will be made to make this center useful for the public.
