Steps towards fulfilling resolution of building a developed Madhya Pradesh and cultural renaissance

Madhya Pradesh has begun 68 years its journey towards its transformation. In this journey, till about two decades ago, the state was in the category of a ‘BIMARU’ state. With continuous efforts for development, the state moved forward on the path of progress. For the last ten years, under the guidance of the successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state has taken a turn towards development and the state is moving towards becoming a developed state. Now we have started a new journey of public service, good governance and all-round development of the state. Together with the people of the state, work is being done towards making the state a leading state in the country.

The heart of India, our Madhya Pradesh is rich in forests, water, food grains, minerals, crafts, art, culture, festivals and traditions. We have the proximity of the holy river Maa Narmada and the blessings of Lord Mahakaleshwar. This is the land of countless heroes, martyrs and great personalities dedicated to the national culture. This is the birthplace of Lord Parashuram, the place of education of Lord Shri Krishna and the place of penance of Adi Shankaracharya. Here the heroic queen of Gondwana, Durgavati, sacrificed her life for her rights. This is the workplace of the virtuous Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar, who reestablished the cultural pride in the nation. Many programmes are being organised in the year of her 300th anniversary celebrations. We are fortunate that Madhya Pradesh boasts a rich historical heritage alongside abundant natural wealth. Now we will move forward with heritage along with development.

Our illustrious Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has pledged to build a developed India to make India the best in the world. For the accomplishment of this pledge, he gave a new theme of GYAN, Garib (poor), yuva (youth), Annadata (farmers) and respect for Nari (women). These four classes are the pillars of development. Under the guidance of the Prime Minister, the state is going to work under the missions of Yuva Shakti (youth power), Garib Kalyan (welfare of the poor), Kisan Kalyan (welfare of farmers) and Nari Sashaktikaran (women empowerment) for development and welfare.

Yuva Shakti Mission will work in mission mode by planning education, skill development, employment, entrepreneurship, leadership developmaent, cultural and social work. Along with connecting the youth with self-employment, we have started a campaign to recruit more than one lakh youth in government jobs. Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country to implement the National Education Policy. Launch of PM College of Excellence in 55 districts of the state, Vice Chancellors being given the honour of Kul Guru, Indian knowledge tradition, environment and yoga meditation courses have been included in education. All the works of development and growth of youth will be possible in Yuva Shakti Mission.

Garib Kalyan Mission will work in the direction of self-employment and social security schemes, housing, education and health facilities etc. Under Nari Shakti Mission, girl education, Ladli Laxmi Yojana, Ladli Behna Yojana, Lakhpati Didi Yojana, empowerment of women self-help groups etc. will be undertaken with top priority. Work will be done in the Kisan Kalyan Mission towards making agriculture and horticulture a profitable business. Along with providing relief to the farmers, concrete efforts will be made to increase the agricultural yield. I have full faith that these four missions will play a pivotal role in fulfilling the resolution of building a developed Madhya Pradesh.

Our effort is to establish industries according to the specific products of each region of Madhya Pradesh. For this, we organised Regional Industry Conclave in Ujjain, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Sagar and Rewa. Road shows in Hyderabad, Coimbatore and Mumbai and inviting industrialists to the state for investment are initiatives for industrial expansion. This will start the process of establishing industries according to abundant regional local products and will bring revolutionary changes in industrial development.

It is my resolution that there should never be a water crisis on the land of the state, every corner of it should be irrigated with water. For this, we have started work on Ken-Betwa and Parvati-Kali-Sindh Chambal river link projects under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. In this campaign, by connecting the water of perennial rivers with seasonal rivers, our food-providing farmers will get sufficient water for irrigation, the problem of drinking water will end and the water level of the earth will increase. To encourage cow-rearing along with agriculture, a cow-shed will be opened in every village. Cow is the basis of our culture and agriculture. We are celebrating the Cow Conservation and Promotion Year in the state.

In an effort for good governance under the guidance of the Prime Minister, the Cyber Tehsil project has been implemented in all 55 districts. Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country to take this initiative. Re-determination of boundaries of police stations, resolution of more than 80 lakh pending cases of transfer, partition, record correction, map correction and demarcation in 2 phases of Revenue mega campaign, online application system for residential plots has been implemented. Welfare of the poor is our priority. At the very beginning of the work, we got the rights of 4 thousand 800 workers of Indore’s Hukumchand Mill and started PM Shri Air Ambulance service for poor patients suffering from serious diseases. More than Rs 57 crore was provided in the accounts of 19 lakh adolescent girls under the Sanitation and Hygiene Scheme for better health of daughters. This work has also been appreciated by UNICEF India.

Madhya Pradesh is rich in glorious heritage and culture. To preserve it and in the direction of spiritual upliftment, construction of Shri Ram Van Gaman Path, Shri Krishna Pathey, PM Shri Tourism Air Service, foundation stone of Veer Bharat Trust, launch of Vikramaditya Vedic clock in the event of Vikramotsav, marking Vikram Samvat in the government calendar. In the sequence of cultural renaissance, Rakshabandhan, Shravan Utsav and Shri Krishna Janmashtami festival were organised.

I am happy to inform that in the country the development works continuesly going on under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, is leading the state towards development at a rapid pace. Madhya Pradesh is leading in the country in the implementation of the major schemes of the Central Government, PM Swa-Nidhi Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, Agriculture Infrastructure Fund, Pradhan Mantri Matru-Vandana Yojana, PM Swamitva Yojana, Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana, National Livelihood Mission, Swachchh Bharat Mission etc. and in providing their benefits to the eligible beneficiaries.

I am happy to inform that this is the time of economic, social, industrial and cultural rise. Under the leadership of Prime Minister, I need the will power of the people of the state to implement the policies and decisions. I urge all of you to use local products, participate in the development journey in accordance with local characteristics and adopt Vocal for Local. We are working with full dedication to achieve these goals so that the youth, women, farmers and poor of the state progress equally, everyone’s life is joyous, the state becomes developed and strong in the field of education, health and basic infrastructure.

I not only hope but have full faith that with the cooperation and determination of the eight and a half crore people of Madhya Pradesh, we will make the state self-reliant and participate in the creation of a developed India.

Best wishes to the people of the state on the 69th foundation day of Madhya Pradesh…
