May Chhath Puja bring happiness, peace and prosperity for all: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has congratulated and extended good wishes to the entire state and countrymen on the occasion of ‘Chhath Puja’, the festival of worship of Lord Surya. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has said that Chhath Puja has special significance in Indian culture. May Chhathi Maiya shower her blessings of happiness, peace and prosperity on all.

In a message to the media, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that on Chhath festival, women first offer prayers to Lord Surya Narayan and then break their fast. They pray and wish for a happy married life and the joy and prosperity of their family. Women endure pain and perform sadhana for the long life of their husbands; this is the specialty of Sanatan culture.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that instructions have been given to take necessary precautions for proper cleanliness and safety at the banks of ponds, rivers, ponds etc. where Chhath Maiya is worshiped in the state.
