Training on the New Pension Scheme (NPS) Held in Lunglei

Lunglei : Today, the Chief Controller of Accounts, Accounts & Treasuries, Mizoram, organized a sensitization training on the New Pension Scheme (NPS) at the Convention Centre in Lunglei. This session was specifically arranged for various Departmental Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) from the Southern Zone, covering the districts of Lunglei, Hnahthial, and Chawngte.

The training was inaugurated by Pu Thara Lungtau, Joint Director of Accounts & Treasuries for the Southern Zone, who expressed appreciation for hosting this important session in Lunglei, allowing local DDOs to participate without needing to travel to Aizawl. The training focused on educating DDOs on crucial procedures and responsibilities under the NPS, ensuring they are well-informed and equipped to assist pensioners in managing their pensions effectively.

During today’s training, Pu Gilbert Zothankima, AA&AO, provided instruction on “Responsibilities of DDOs,” emphasizing their role in handling NPS requirements. Pu Laltholeha Sailo, AA&AO, offered in-depth insights into the New Pension Scheme, while Pu Gilbert Zothankima conducted a practical demonstration to clarify implementation details. The training concluded with a Q&A session, allowing participants to engage actively with the instructors and clarify any queries.
