Central Election Observers Visit Media Cell at Mumbai City District Collector’s Office

Mumbai : In preparation for the 2024 Assembly General Elections, Central Election Observers Samir Verma, Satyaprakash T.L., and Central Expenditure Observer Vijay Babu Vasanta visited the media cell established at the Mumbai City District Collector’s Office to review its operations.

Present at the occasion were Mumbai City District Collector and Additional District Election Officer Sanjay Yadav, along with Deputy District Election Officer Shyamsunder Suravase.

The central observers expressed satisfaction with the organized functioning of the media cell and reviewed its daily activities. They examined the methods used to record news from various newspapers and television channels, monitor advertisements, and were briefed on the tracking of social media content. They advised vigilance over advertisements and posts related to election candidates from Mumbai City District on social media platforms like Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and others.
