Dharashiv : Voting for the Assembly General Elections will be held on Wednesday, November 20. The administration is fully prepared to ensure the smooth conduct of polling. Today, on November 19, polling staff enthusiastically departed with voting materials for polling stations in the Assembly constituencies of Umarga, Tuljapur, Osmanabad, and Paranda.
To ensure the smooth conduct of voting, a review of law and order preparations was conducted by the Election Observers (General, Expenditure, and Police) appointed by the Election Commission of India during a review meeting held on November 17.
Polling teams have been dispatched to 1,523 polling stations across the four Assembly constituencies in the district. Of these, 50% of polling stations will be monitored through webcasting. Citizens can file complaints about election-related irregularities using the C-Vigil app.
For the security arrangements during the polling, a total of 3,157 personnel have been deployed, including 127 police officers, police staff, and home guards, along with three units of the Central Armed Police Forces.
District Collector and Election Officer Dr. Sachin Ombase informed that candidates, their representatives, polling agents, and voters are prohibited from carrying mobile phones inside polling stations.
