Chief Minister Dr. Yadav unveils the new statue of the father of the Constitution Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb Ambedkar
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav unveiled and garlanded the new statue of Bharat Ratna Dr. Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar at Tower Chowk after the Bhoomi-pujan of Medicity Medical College on Thursday. Among those present were MP Shri Anil Firojia, Balayogi Umeshnath Maharaj, Minister in-charge Shri Gautam Tetwal, Mayor Shri Mukesh Tatwal, MLA Shri Anil Jain Kaluheda, Shri Satish Malviya, Municipal Corporation Chairman Smt. Kalavati Yadav and other distinguished citizens.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, on this occasion, said that Ujjain city has many specialties. The Chief Minister said that all our great men have made invaluable contributions to build India. Baba Saheb is a great hero of the 20th century who raised his voice and fought against the inconsistencies, evils and evil practices within this country for equality and co-existence in society. Before India’s independence, he helped eradicating number of social evils and gave birth to new ideas. Baba Saheb empowered the weaker sections of society and encouraged them to move forward. By creating the Constitution, he gave everyone the right to equality. Chief Minister directed the administration to pay special attention for safety of the statues and ensure that the statues of great men are not tampered with in the future.
The Chief Minister extended his best wishes to everyone. Mayor Shri Mukesh Tatwal proposed the vote of thanks. Notably, the said statue was constructed at a cost of Rs 12.50 lakh. CCTV cameras have been installed for security purposes, on the instructions of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, and the area around the statue has been beautified and adorned with beautiful lights.
