RORO
Mundra port established Automobile Roll On – Roll Off (RO RO) Terminal in the year 2009 and since then has been serving as a gateway port for Automobile companies situated in Delhi NCR, Rajasthan and Gujarat region. Mundra port handles exports of Cars, Buses, and Trucks. The port operations team is mindful of the specificities involved in Automobile exports has highly skilled personnel and systems in place for the same. Mundra port has a highly innovative floating pontoon and link span which is also one-of-its-kind in India for round-the-clock RO-RO operation without any tidal restriction. The port also has a buffer yard along with a washing facility for parking and washing of vehicles.

Backup Infrastructure
The multipurpose terminal in Mundra has multiple covered godowns and open yards for storage of large volumes of cargo. The covered godown can store over 630,000 MT of cargo at any given point in time. Open yards, with a total area of 1.06 million sq. mtrs., have been earmarked for minerals, timber, steel and project cargo. The liquid terminal has a tank-farm with 97 tanks capable of storing 426,000 KL of products ranging from Petroleum Oils, Petrochemicals, Chemicals and Vegetable oils. The entire tank farm is equipped with automatic radar gauging system for accurate and real time monitoring.
Evacuation Infrastructure
Cargo can be received and evacuated by road, rail, air, conveyors and pipelines.
The port can handle 80 rakes per day for inbound and out bound cargo. Separate sidings are provided for Agri, Fertilizer, Coal cargo and Liquid cargo.
The port has 4 / 6-lanes road connectivity allowing easy movement of cargo to and from the port.

Rail
Mundra port’s rail is connected to the national rail network and hence cargo can be handled for any location in India. Superior rail infrastructure at the port and nation-wide connectivity eliminates multiple handling and results in reduced handling losses.
Road
Mundra Port is connected to the Indian National Highway (NH) network through two State Highways(SH) – SH 48 via Anjar and SH 6 via Gandhidham. Mundra Port is well connected to National Highway No. 8 A (Delhi-Kandla) up to Mandvi via Mundra town.
Air
Mundra port has its own airport planned as an international air cargo hub. Presently the air runway strip is 900 meters which is to be expanded to 4500 meters.
Terminal Handling Infrastructure
The terminal infrastructure at the port is capable of simultaneously handling multiple vessels of different class. For dry cargo, a set of high capacity Grab Ship Unloaders (GSUs), and Mobile Harbors Cranes ensure quick discharge and loading of vessels. A large fleet of support equipment such as excavators, pay loaders and mobile equipment ensure uninterrupted and smooth operations across the entire terminal. Additionally, the port has a fully integrated conveyor system for smooth and fast transit of cargo. For liquid cargo, pipelines of varying size and types enable efficient handling marine tankers. For containers, state-of-the-art rail mounted quay cranes have been deployed.

Plant capacity is 4620 MW, comprising of 9 units with 4 units of 330 MW and 5 units of 660 MW. The 330 MW units are based on sub critical technology and the 660 MW units are based on supercritical technology.
Adani Power created history by synchronising the first super-critical technology based 660MW generating unit at Mundra. This is the first super-critical generating unit in India. The Mundra power project is also the fastest project implementation ever by any power developer in the country with a record completion of inception to synchronisation within 36 months.
Phase III of the Mundra Project, which is based on supercritical technology, has received ‘Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) Project’ certification from United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). This is the world’s first thermal project based on supercritical technology to get registered as a CDM Project under UNFCCC.

Ash Management
We established and commissioned an Ash bagging unit to achieve 100% Fly Ash utilization. For ensuring 100% utilization of Fly Ash, we have established a fine Ash bagging unit at Mundra for bagging and disposal of fly ash generated due to our process. Each machine has an operational capacity of 18 TPH and the unit operates three such machines giving it a total capacity of 54 TPH.
