Chief Minister Shri Sai got invitation for state level grand Panthi dance competition

Panthi dance teams from Chhattisgarh as well as various states of the country will participate in the state level Panthi dance competition. This competition will be organized from 19 to 21 December at Navagarh, the development block headquarters of Bemetara district. A team of Satnami community leaders led by Food Minister Shri Dayal Das Baghel met Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai at his residence office and invited him to participate in the competition. Shri Sai gladly accepted the invitation and assured him of participating in the birth anniversary program.

The delegation told Chief Minister Shri Sai that a state level Panthi dance competition is being organized to celebrate the 268th birth anniversary of Param Pujya Guru Ghasi Das Baba Ji in the coming month of December. People of all communities have been requested to make this event a success in an atmosphere of mutual love and harmony. Panthi dance teams from various states of the country are being invited to participate in the competition. There is also a plan to honor people of all communities who have helped in the event. On this occasion, information was also given about the format of the competition, organizing committee, security committee and other arrangements. On this occasion, Guru Agamdas Telasipuri Dham, former MLA Shri Ramji Bharti, former MLA Dr. Sanam Jangde, Padmashree Mrs. Usha Barle and other representatives of the society were present.

Panthi dance is famous in the country and abroad

Panthi dance of Chhattisgarh is famous in the country and abroad. It is the traditional dance of the Satnami community of Chhattisgarh. In this dance, the messages of Baba Guru Ghasidas ji are presented through songs and dance. It is actually a religious and spiritual dance. This dance is like a collective worship. The specialty of this dance is that the dancers perform the dance at a fast pace to the beat of the Mandar and the cymbal of the Manjira. The audience gets thrilled by this dance presented at a fast pace. Many musical instruments are used in Panthi dance, such as Mandar, Jhanj, Jhumka, Manjira, Chikara, Harmonium, and Banjo etc.
