Queue Management System to be Implemented in Hospitals

To Start on Pilot Mode from Kanwatia and Jaipuria Hospitals
—Medical Education Secretary Held Discussions with Hospital Management
—Inspected and Reviewed Health Facilities

Jaipur : To provide relief to the general public from queues and ensure smooth treatment in hospitals affiliated with medical colleges, a queue management system will soon be implemented. This initiative will be piloted at Jaipur’s Government Harbaksh Kanwatia Hospital, affiliated with Sawai Mansingh Medical College, and Government Rukmani Devi-Beni Prasad Jaipuria Hospital, affiliated with RUHS Medical College.

The Medical Education Secretary shared this information during an inspection of health facilities at Kanwatia and Jaipuria hospitals on Saturday. He stated that under the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma and the guidance of Medical Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Khinvsar, efforts are being made to bring the medical system online in phases across the state. As part of this effort, the queue management system will first be implemented at Kanwatia and Jaipuria hospitals. Once successfully operational, it will be extended to other hospitals in the state. This will free the public from long queues for treatment and tests, saving their valuable time and reducing waiting periods for medical care.

Display Duty Charts Mandatorily

Earlier in the day, around 11 a.m., the Medical Education Secretary made a surprise visit to Kanwatia Hospital. During his visit, he held detailed discussions with the hospital management regarding the implementation of the queue management system and provided necessary instructions for its prompt execution. He also conducted a thorough inspection of medical facilities, reviewing the emergency unit, wards, OPD, and other areas. He instructed that duty charts for doctors and staff must be displayed prominently.

Dispose of Unused Items and Scrap Promptly

The Secretary checked the presence of doctors and staff and requested a detailed record of work allocations. He directed that adequate and good-quality bedsheets and blankets should be made available for patients. Considering the winter season, he also emphasized making appropriate arrangements for attendants accompanying patients. He expressed dissatisfaction over the accumulation of scrap and unused items in various parts of the hospital premises and instructed their immediate disposal and auction through appropriate procedures.

Appreciation for Jaipuria Hospital’s Management

Later, the Medical Education Secretary visited Jaipuria Hospital and held detailed discussions with the management regarding the implementation of the queue management system. He inspected various health facilities, including the emergency unit, wards, OPD, and medicine counters. Expressing satisfaction with the facilities developed at Jaipuria Hospital, he encouraged ensuring similar arrangements in other hospitals.

Discussed Issues with District Collector

The Secretary also held a meeting of the Rajasthan Medical Relief Society at Jaipuria Hospital. He directed the immediate resolution of issues affecting the hospital’s operations. He also discussed hospital-related problems with the District Collector of Jaipur and instructed necessary steps to address them.

Recognition for Outstanding Services

The Secretary instructed the hospital superintendent to name five medical staff members for their exemplary work. Based on the recommendations, he honored Dr. Harish Bhardwaj, Dr. Raghav Mehta, Dr. Sanchit Jain, pharmacist Mr. Shanti Lal, and nursing officer Mr. Neeraj Gupta with certificates of appreciation. He emphasized that the department consistently encourages and acknowledges personnel delivering outstanding services.

Food Courts to Open Soon

The Medical Education Secretary announced that, following the Medical Minister’s directions, food courts offering hygienic and quality meals for the public would soon be established at both Jaipuria and Kanwatia hospitals. Locations for these have already been identified.

Two Modular OTs to be Built Soon

The hospital superintendent presented a detailed report on the hospital’s operations, informing that through efforts by the hospital administration, ₹50 lakh has recently been received from the State Bank of India under CSR activities. This amount will be utilized to construct two modular operation theaters. The Medical Education Secretary congratulated the hospital administration for this achievement.
