Inauguration of New Batch of ‘Diploma in Agriculture Extension Services for Input Dealers’

Jaipur : The 25th batch of the ‘Diploma in Agriculture Extension Services for Input Dealers’ program was inaugurated at the State Institute of Agricultural Management (SIAM), Durgapura, for input dealers to enhance agricultural extension services.

Director of the State Institute of Agricultural Management, Mr. Ishwar Lal Yadav, stated that through this course, participants will learn about various innovative agricultural techniques. This will enable them to provide advanced agricultural inputs to farmers and act as para-extension workers for the agriculture and horticulture departments by delivering new technologies.

Deputy Director of Agriculture and State Coordinator, Mr. Surendra Singh Rajawat, informed that 186 batches have been conducted in the state so far, with Jaipur district hosting its 25th batch. This diploma program spans 48 weeks, including 40 weeks of classroom sessions and 8 weeks of field visits.

Each batch registers 40 participants. During the course, subject experts provide training on topics related to agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, and poultry farming. Upon successful completion of the diploma, certificates are issued at the MANAGE Hyderabad level. Diploma certificate holders become eligible for the mandatory license required to trade agricultural inputs such as seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides.
