“Bihaan” is realizing the dream of self-reliant India

Under the “Bihan” scheme, women associated with various self-help groups are being provided financial resources and are being linked to new dimensions of livelihood. In this series, under the guidance of Collector Mr. Ranbir Sharma, Chief Executive Officer District Panchayat Bemetara Mr. Tekchand Agarwal inspected the village panchayats under development block Navagarh and observed the work of the sisters of the self-help group engaged in livelihood benefited by the Bihan scheme. In this sequence, from Village Panchayat Narayanpur, Grocery Shop and Fancy Shop Operator Gayatri Devangan, Member Om Sainath Group, Rajkumari Sahu, Operator Wire Mesh Fencing Work, Member Tulsi Group, from Village Panchayat Temri, Nandini Devakar – Operator Vegetable Garden, Member Bhumika Group, Neera Sahu – Operator Dairy, Member Bhavani Group, Panchvati Sahu – Operator Slipper and Cloth Shop, Member Kailadevi Group, from Village Panchayat Ghursena, Renu Devangan, Grocery Shop Operator, Member Swastik Group, Amita Baghel, Fish Farming, Member Shraddha Group, Sangeeta Sahu, Operator Sewing and Cloth Shop, Member Om Sai Group, from Village Panchayat Amora, Kunti Bai – Hotel Operator, Member Vidya Group, Vandana Bai, General and Fancy Store Operator, Member Anupa Group, Mamta Bai, Operator Sewing and Cloth Shop, Member Amin Mata Group were met and information was taken in relation to how they started the activity with the help of the scheme. Similarly, women from other Gram Panchayats are also joining the livelihood. Seeing this, the Chief Executive District Panchayat expressed happiness about the implementation of Bihan Yojana and also directed that this scheme should prove to be a milestone in the implementation and fulfillment of the target of Lakhpati Didi Yojana, for which maximum number of women from self-help groups should be motivated to join the livelihood and necessary financial resources should be made available.
