Vintage Jeep Rally Held on Armed Forces Flag Day to Support Soldiers and Their Families
On Armed Forces Flag Day, ‘Vintage Jeep Rally’ Organized – Extend Every Possible Help for the Welfare of Soldiers and Their Families Who Have Sacrificed Their All for the Nation” – President, State Soldier Welfare Advisory Committee
Jaipur : On the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day-2024, a ‘Vintage Jeep Rally’ was organized on Saturday in Jaipur by the Soldier Welfare Department with the cooperation of the Rajasthan Jeep Club. The rally was flagged off from Albert Hall by Shri Prem Singh Bajaur, President of the State Soldier Welfare Advisory Committee.
Earlier, Shri Bajaur said that Armed Forces Flag Day is a celebration of the bravery, sacrifice, and honor of the soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces, who risked their lives to protect the borders of the country. He mentioned that such programs help the younger generation of the country become familiar with the unmatched courage of our heroes and the history of the armed forces.
The President of the Soldier Welfare Advisory Committee appealed to the public to extend every possible help for the welfare of these warriors, both retired and serving soldiers, and their families who have given their all in the defense of the nation. He said that by joining this campaign, the people of the state can offer their heartfelt tributes to the soldiers dedicated to the nation.
Brigadier Virendra Singh Rathore, Director of the Soldier Welfare Department, stated that around 24 vintage jeeps participated in the rally, with a large number of ex-servicemen, NCC volunteers, and personnel. He mentioned that for providing financial assistance to soldiers who have sacrificed everything, donations can be sent through checks or demand drafts to the account number 14630100014791, IFSC Code BARB0JAICOM at the Bank of Baroda, Industry Building, Jaipur branch, in the name of Armed Forces Flag Day, Rajasthan, or through the department’s UPI QR code.
The ceremony was attended by Major General Anuj Mathur, President of All India Ex-Servicemen Service Council, Lieutenant General SPS Katewa, President of the Rajasthan State Ex-Services League, and Subedar Arjun Singh.
