Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma emphasized that the energy of youth should be fully utilized to contribute to the state’s progress. He stated that achieving the vision of an “Excellent and Developed Rajasthan” is possible only through the power of youth. Reaffirming the state government’s commitment to the development and welfare of the youth, he encouraged them to work in the state’s interest and dream big. The government, he assured, will provide full support in realizing those dreams.
Sharma was addressing the Employment Festival and Youth Conference held at the Marwar International Center in Jodhpur on Thursday, marking the first anniversary of the state government. The CM inaugurated the events commemorating the first year of governance with the Employment Festival and Youth Conference. Running from December 12 to 17, these programs are themed Fulfilling Responsibility, Prosperity in Every Household. Various schemes and programs during this period aim to provide economic support to women, youth, farmers, and laborers.
During the state-level program, the Chief Minister distributed appointment letters to youths selected for government jobs. Across all districts, more than 15,000 youths received appointment letters. Sharma also interacted via video conferencing with selected candidates from across the state.
Sharma remarked that the third edition of the Chief Minister’s Employment Festival is a continuation of efforts to meet the aspirations and expectations of the youth. He described the event as shaping the hopes, ambitions, and dreams of the younger generation.
Youth Have Illuminated India’s Name Worldwide
The CM noted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India is making a confident global mark, thanks to its youth. As the world’s youngest country, Indian youth are showcasing their talents internationally. Sharma cited the Prime Minister’s remarks during the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit, highlighting the role of youth under the framework of “Democracy, Demography, Data, and Delivery.”
He further stated that the state has dismantled the networks of exam-leak mafias through a special campaign and the establishment of an SIT. Over the past year, corruption-free recruitments have restored trust among the youth in the government. The Chief Minister affirmed the government’s commitment to securing the rights of young people.
Dream Big, We’ll Help You Fly
Sharma said that the Rising Rajasthan Summit has created millions of employment opportunities for the youth. Within a year, the state government has appointed candidates to 32,000 posts, with the recruitment process ongoing for 60,000 more. With over 15,000 youths receiving appointment letters, recruitment has also commenced for 85,000 additional posts. Furthermore, 144 campus placement camps have been organized, resulting in the preliminary selection of 30,000 youths.
Key initiatives include revisions in Common Entrance Test (CET) qualifying marks, expediting document verification, increasing advertised vacancies by up to 100%, and relaxing educational qualifications for drivers. The CM reiterated his commitment to empowering youth and fulfilling their dreams.
Consistent Decisions to Empower Youth
The CM highlighted measures such as establishing 37 new government colleges and five polytechnic institutes this year, along with Centers of Excellence in emerging fields like AI, robotics, electric vehicles, and IoT. Over 3 lakh youth have received skill training, and 900 startups were registered this year, with 150 startups receiving funding through the Business Innovation Program.
Health Minister Gajendra Khinvsar lauded the government’s efforts to strengthen healthcare in rural areas, including expanded coverage under the Chief Minister Ayushman Health Scheme. Education Minister Madan Dilawar noted that over 8,000 smart classrooms introduced in schools are improving education quality.
Empowering Youth Through Tools, Scholarships, and Vehicles
Sharma inaugurated programs like e-learning centers, skill development schemes, and the Rajasthan Target Olympic Podium initiative. Highlights include:
- Distribution of 21,000 scooters under the Kalibai Bhil Meritorious Student Scheme.
- Launch of 8,000+ smart classrooms in 4,010 schools.
- Distribution of 75,325 vocational toolkits, 23,100 tablets, and 1.25 lakh bicycles to students.
- Support for 155 startups under the Business Innovation Program.
Divyangjan (differently-abled) individuals received tri-cycles, wheelchairs, and scooters under the Chief Minister’s Disability Support Scheme.
Inauguration of Jodhpur District Exhibition
The CM inaugurated the Jodhpur district exhibition, showcasing achievements from various departments over the past year. Focused themes like One Crop, One Species, One Product, One Tourist Spot, and One Sport highlighted the region’s uniqueness. Sharma also interacted warmly with citizens during his journey from Jodhpur Airport to the Marwar International Center.
