Jaipur : The ‘Sunday Market,’ organized for the past few weeks at Bikaner House in New Delhi, is gaining much popularity these days. This weekly market, held in the premises of Bikaner House near India Gate in the capital Delhi, provides visitors the opportunity to purchase handicrafts, embroidery, organic products, and home decor items all in one place every Sunday of the week.
Officials of the Residential Commissioner’s office informed that special attention is given to the entertainment of children as well as adults in this weekly market. For this, arrangements such as cartoon character cutouts, toys, etc., are made. Various types of favorite delicacies for children are also arranged at the market. Additionally, on this Sunday, the world-famous Kalbelia dance of Rajasthan showcased the vibrancy of Rajasthani culture in this market and made the atmosphere cheerful.
On the past Sunday, December 15, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, hundreds of visitors thronged Bikaner House to witness the variety, tradition, and charm of the Sunday Market and enthusiastically purchased handmade daily-use products.
To make the Sunday Market even more popular, in the upcoming Sundays, it will be decorated according to festivals and other attractive themes. They mentioned that preparations would align with Christmas, New Year, Makar Sankranti, and Republic Day, and to make it more attractive, various types of cultural and child-centric programs will be added.
They informed that visitors can also bring their pets to this market. In the coming weeks, efforts will be made to make the Sunday Market even more famous by incorporating suggestions and discussions from visitors to make it more attractive.
