Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Inaugurates Rajsakhi Café and Restaurant at Alwar Mini Secretariat Complex
Jaipur : On Monday, Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Shri Bhupendra Yadav, along with the State Minister for Forest and Environment (Independent Charge) Shri Sanjay Sharma, inaugurated the Rajsakhi Café and Restaurant of Rajeevika at the Mini Secretariat, Alwar.
Shri Yadav extended his best wishes to the women of the Rajeevika group for the smooth operation of the café and restaurant, stating that the café and restaurant established in the secretariat complex will provide high-quality food to the departmental staff as well as visitors. He emphasized that this restaurant, run by women, is a meaningful step towards women empowerment. He added that the central and state governments are continuously working to make women self-reliant through various programs such as Lakpati Didis.
Shri Sanjay Sharma stated that the state government has connected a large number of women to self-employment by making them Lakpati Didis in the past year, helping them empower their families and contribute economically. He mentioned that the government is encouraging women’s groups by providing training for various activities and offering loans for self-employment. Women’s groups are also being provided appropriate platforms.
During the event, District Collector Dr. Artika Shukla briefed Union Minister Shri Yadav and Forest Minister Shri Sharma about the work being done by Rajeevika Canteen and women’s groups, along with their handmade products.
Rajeevika’s District Project Manager Mrs. Rekha Rani Vyas explained that the canteen at the Mini Secretariat will offer tea, snacks, and meals at rates set by the district administration. She mentioned that the operation of this canteen will also increase the livelihood of Rajeevika self-help group members. The Municipal Corporation has set up a stall for showcasing handmade products of self-help group women under the National Urban Livelihood Mission, and all self-help groups will get an opportunity to display their products one by one.
On this occasion, Ramgarh MLA Shri Sukhwant Singh, outgoing Mayor of Municipal Corporation Shri Ghanshyam Gurjar, along with relevant officers and intellectuals, were present.
