Strengthening Housing Scheme in Rural Areas – Rural Development Minister Jaykumar GoreJaykumar Gore Assumes Office as Rural Development Minister

Mumbai : In the coming days, there will be a greater focus on strengthening basic amenities in rural areas. As per the instructions of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the housing scheme for the poor will be reinforced, with a commitment to approve 20 lakh houses under the scheme within 100 days, said Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Jaykumar Gore.

Minister Gore was speaking to the media after assuming charge of the ministry at the Secretariat. Former MP Ranjitsinh Naik-Nimbalkar, Chairman of Annasaheb Patil Development Corporation Narendra Patil, MLA Sachin Kamble-Patil, and Mr. Gore’s wife Saniya Gore, along with officials, were present on the occasion.

Rural Development Minister Gore stated that having the opportunity to work for rural areas, his focus as a minister will be on effectively implementing various development schemes initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. The goal is to complete the 100-day program with the state’s first-ever target of approving 20 lakh houses, with work beginning immediately thereafter. Additionally, Minister Gore announced a commitment to implementing the Prime Minister’s ambitious “Lakhpati Didi” scheme within 100 days, aiming to empower rural women by creating 50 lakh additional Lakhpati Didis through women’s self-help groups.
