Tourism development gains momentum in Bastar region
Under the good governance of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the pace of development in Bastar region has increased and the latest example of this is Keshkal Valley located on National Highway 30. Keshkal Valley is known as the life line of Bastar, because through this valley one can reach different
districts of Bastar division and Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Keshkal Valley located on the National Highway is important not only from the point of view of being a major route but also from the point of view of business development of Bastar region. Two months ago, this valley was in a dilapidated condition, due to which people passing through here were troubled by dust and long traffic jams. Keeping this in mind, the Chhattisgarh government prepared an action plan for the rejuvenation of the valley, as a result today the valley is completely ready and vehicles are moving fast through the valley. After the completion of repair work at Keshkal Ghat, the movement of all types of vehicles has been restored on Friday morning. The renovation of the valley will ease traffic, as well as promote the tourist places of the region.
Wall paintings on the valley walls became the center of attraction
Along with the repair work of Keshkal valley, the culture, art and tourism of Bastar have been painted on the walls of the valley, due to which the valley has become a center of attraction. Now people will know the valley as the Valley of Flowers as well as for its beautiful wall paintings. There are many beautiful tourist places in Bastar and after seeing the tourist places of Kanker district, tourists travel further through the valley, in such a situation, when the beautiful paintings made in the valley give them information about the major tourist places of Bastar, tourists will be able to get acquainted with the artwork made by the artisans of the district, the fragrance of bell metal and tribal art and culture.
Tatamari will be developed as an adventure tourism spot
Tatamari hill station located on the right side of the valley is famous in the country and the world for its beautiful natural beauty. When you reach Tatamari after traveling through the valley with winding turns, your slightly increased heartbeat will calm down and your eyes will get relief. Seeing the beautiful views here, the tourists wish that this time should stop here. And everyone cannot stop themselves from capturing the views here in their mobile. This is the reason why in this new year, tourists are reaching from far and wide to admire the natural beauty here. A large number of tourists come here every year. In the year 2020, the number of tourists was 20 thousand 950, which has now increased to 01 lakh 76 thousand 682. Proper arrangements have been made here for the stay of tourists so that tourists can reach Tatamari as well as other nearby tourist places. Local youth are also getting employment in Tatamari. Also, women of self-help groups serve traditional village dishes and food to the tourists here.
Collector Shri Kunal Dudawat said that there is a lot of potential for adventure sports in Tatamari, keeping this in mind, an action plan is being prepared by the district administration for organizing adventure activities here. Also, to improve the facilities for tourists, the view point, path way and wooden cottages will be strengthened and facilities will be increased in the kids play garden. Along with this, new cottages will also be constructed.
