Five-Day State-Level Youth Festival to Begin on Wednesday: Scheduled from 8 to 12 January at SMS Stadium
Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Holds Meeting with Committee Officials – Ensures Better Arrangements for Visitors
Jaipur : On the occasion of National Youth Day (12 January), a five-day state-level youth festival will be organized from 8 to 12 January at Sawai Mansingh (SMS) Stadium. The inaugural ceremony will take place on Wednesday at 12:30 PM, with the presence of Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and State Minister Shri Krishna Kumar K.K. Vishnoi. The award distribution ceremony on 12 January will feature Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma as the chief guest, while Colonel Rathore and Shri Vishnoi will serve as special guests.
Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore has instructed officials to work in better coordination to ensure the success of the event. During a meeting with committee officials at SMS Stadium on Tuesday, he emphasized the importance of fulfilling responsibilities diligently to provide better arrangements for visitors. He stated that a large number of participants from across the state will take part in the event and should experience a positive atmosphere.
Colonel Rathore directed that adequate arrangements be made for security, accommodation, and food for visitors, ensuring no inconvenience. He stressed that any issues faced by visitors should be addressed immediately. Officials were also instructed to continuously inspect arrangements to prevent disruptions. He added that accommodations for participants should be suitable for the winter season.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary of the Rajasthan State Sports Council, Shri Rajendra Singh; Deputy Secretary of the Youth Affairs and Sports Department, Smt. Anita Meena; and Member Secretary of the Rajasthan Youth Board, Shri Kailash Pahadia, along with officials of various committees formed for the event.
Key Highlights of the State-Level Youth Festival:
- Theme: The festival will be based on the theme “Science, Technology, and Innovation.”
- Events and Competitions: Science/Digital Fair, cultural competitions (group folk singing, group folk dance, solo folk singing, solo folk dance), life skills (poetry recitation, story writing, painting, speech), handicrafts, textile arts, agricultural products, and Rajasthan’s fading art forms (Phad, Ravanhatta, Rammat, Algoza, Mandana, Kathputli, Khartal, Morchang, Bhapang).
- Motivational Sessions: Renowned national experts will motivate the youth.
- Government Welfare Schemes: Participants will be informed about welfare schemes by the central and state governments.
- Sports Events: Competitions like kabaddi, kho-kho, and tug of war will be organized.
- Cash Prizes: First, second, and third-place winners will receive cash prizes of ₹50,000, ₹25,000, and ₹10,000, respectively.
- Youth Icon Awards: Selected youth excelling in various fields will be honored with the Youth Icon Award and a cash prize of ₹1,00,000.
