Strict action will be taken for negligence in implementation of government schemes: Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Rajwade

Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade reviewed the work of the Women and Child Development Department in detail at the Ministry Mahanadi Bhawan. She has instructed to take strict action against the officers for any kind of negligence in the implementation of government schemes. She also instructed to pay the difference in the salary of the officers who do not make 100 percent entries in the Poshan Tracker. Smt. Rajwade instructed the officers to conduct regular surprise inspections of Anganwadi centers. She also instructed to ensure the quality of the nutrition-diet and other facilities being given to the beneficiaries by regularly checking them. During the meeting, departmental officers gave information about departmental programs and schemes through power point presentation.  

While giving instructions to implement integrated child development services effectively on the ground, Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwada said that ensure that the women and children of the area are benefited in a planned manner from other welfare schemes of the government. In this direction, effective initiatives should be taken for quality and expansion of services along with creating public awareness to make the services result-oriented. The Minister instructed the officials that all the beneficiaries should get the benefit of Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana, Ready-to-Eat, Noni Suraksha Yojana, Shuchita Yojana, Bal Sandarbh, Niyyad Nella Nar and Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana of Women and Child Development Department. She instructed to link the bank accounts of all the eligible beneficiaries of Mahtari Vandan Yojana with Aadhar Card. Mark the beneficiaries who have died and cancel their applications. She asked to get the health checkup, vaccination and weighing of pregnant women, lactating mothers, children and adolescent girls done at regular intervals. She also instructed to discharge responsibilities with sensitivity to make pre-school primary education, supplementary nutrition and nutrition and health education result-oriented. Mrs. Rajwada said that ensure that the right beneficiary gets the benefit under Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana. Officers should verify the application after receiving it so that the real person gets the benefit.

Instructions were given to open and close Anganwadi on time and to conduct surprise inspections.
Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Rajwada gave instructions to ensure 100% entry on the nutrition tracker. She said that all Anganwadis should be opened and closed on time. All supervisors should regularly conduct surprise inspections of Anganwadis. She instructed to make nutrition gardens in all Anganwadis and plant green vegetables and fruit trees. She asked to prove the significance of the objective of the scheme by benefiting poor needy women under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana. In the meeting, instructions were given to benefit maximum number of women under Jagriti Shivir and Disha Darshan Yojana. Apart from this, Mission Vatsalya, Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, recruitment to vacant posts of Anganwadi workers and Anganwadi assistants, approval for construction of Anganwadi center building, operational and ongoing buildings were also reviewed.
Department Secretary Mrs. Shammi Abidi, Director Mr. Janmejay Mahobe, Directorate and district level officers of the department were also present in the meeting.
