Eastern Railway To Run Twelve (12) Emu Special Trains During Gangasagar Mela.

Vide a press release, Eastern Railways has brought it to the notice of its commuters:

1. EASTERN RAILWAY TO RUN TWELVE (12) EMU SPECIAL TRAINS DURING GANGASAGAR MELA.

To clear the anticipated rush of pilgrims during Ganga Sagar Mela-2025, Eastern Railway will run 12 Galloping EMU Mela Special trains in between 12th to 17th January, 2025 in different directions from Sealdah South / Kolkata station / Lakshmikantapur / Namkhana / Kakdwip.

Out of 12 EMU Mela specials, 03 trains will leave from Sealdah South, 02 trains from Kolkata station, 05 trains from Namkhana, 01 train from Lakshmikantapur and 01 train from Kakdwip.

• Mela Special trains will leave Sealdah South for Namkhana at 06:15 hours; 14:40 hours;

• 01 Mela Special train will leave Sealdah for Lakshmikantapur at 16:24 hours from 13.01.2025 to 16.01.2025;

• Mela Specials from Kolkata station for Namkhana on 12.01.2025; 13.01.2025; 14.01.2025, will depart at 07.35 hours & 21:30 hours.

• Mela Specials from Namkhana at 02:05 hours for Lakshmikantapur on 12/01/2025; 13/01/2025 & 14/01/2025.

• Train towards Sealdah will leave at 09:10 hours; 11:18 hours; on 12.01.2025; 13.01.2025 & 14.01.2025); Additional trains towards Sealdah will be available at 18:35 hours; 19:05 hours from 13.01.2025 to 16.01.2025.

• One (01) Mela Special from Kakdwip towards Sealdah at 14:40 hours from 13.01.2025 to 16.01.2025

• One (01) Mela Special from Lakshmikantapur towards Sealdah at 23:15 hours.

• On Sunday, 12.01.2025, EMU trains in Lakshmikantapur – Namkhana – Lakshmikantapur section will run as weekday’s service.

• The Galloping Mela Special trains will stop at Ballygunge, Sonarpur, Baruipur, Lakshmikantapur, Nischindapur & Kakdwip stations.

• Mela Special trains originating from Kolkata station will stop at all stations between Kolkata & Majherhat. No train will stop at Kashinagar Halt station from 10.01.2025 to 16.01.2025, as proposed by District Administration

• Services of 03 Regular Local Trains shall be extended during 12.01.2025 to 16.01.2025:

• 34923 UP Namkhana – Lakshmikantapur Local,
• 34424 DN Sealdah – Sonarpur Local,
• 34736 DN Sealdah – Lakshmikantapur Local.
