Pre-Budget Dialogue with Employee Unions: CM Bhajanlal Sharma

January : Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma emphasized the vital role of employees as the backbone of the state and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to addressing their concerns. Speaking during a pre-budget dialogue with employee unions at the Chief Minister’s Office, he stressed the importance of dedication and service from employees in achieving the goal of a developed and prosperous Rajasthan. Suggestions from employee organizations for the 2025-26 budget will be reviewed and included where possible, he assured.

Highlighting the state government’s recent initiatives, the Chief Minister noted that critical decisions had been taken over the past year to prioritize electricity and water needs. Major projects, such as the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP), Yamuna Water Agreement, and Dewas Project, have boosted water supply, while energy agreements signed during the “Rising Rajasthan” summit aim to ensure daytime electricity for farmers by 2027.

Key Decisions for Employees
The Chief Minister announced several measures for employees, including a two-year relaxation in required experience for promotions in 2023-24, salary increments for medal-winning athletes, and amendments to disciplinary action rules under Rajasthan Civil Services. Additionally, steps were taken to simplify pension application processes and facilitate digital submission of life certificates, benefiting over 5 lakh pensioners.

10 Lakh Job Promise for Youth
Mr. Sharma reiterated his government’s commitment to providing 10 lakh jobs—4 lakh in the public sector and 6 lakh in private. So far, over 59,000 appointments have been made, with recruitment processes underway for 15,000 more posts. Recruitment advertisements for approximately 81,000 positions have also been issued, alongside policy revisions to enhance job opportunities.

Employee representatives expressed gratitude for the proactive measures and frequent dialogue initiated by the Chief Minister, marking it as an unprecedented step toward resolving employee grievances effectively.
