Maharashtra Pavilion in Davos Ready for Record-Breaking Investments

Davos – Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met with Klaus Schwab, the Founder and Chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF), today in Davos. The Maharashtra Pavilion is now fully prepared, with a packed schedule of events over the next two days. The state is set to sign record-breaking Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and hold meetings with various companies.

During the meeting, CM Fadnavis and Klaus Schwab discussed key topics such as green energy, electric vehicles, and recent developments in the industrial sector. Schwab also conveyed his best wishes for Maharashtra’s continued growth and success.

Klaus Schwab had previously visited Mumbai during the Ganesh Chaturthi festival last year, where he and his wife attended a gathering at CM Fadnavis’ official residence, “Sagar,” and participated in the Ganesh Aarti on September 12. This memory was revisited during today’s meeting, marking the beginning of CM Fadnavis’ engagements and discussions in Davos.

CM Fadnavis will also participate in the inaugural ceremony of the Indian Pavilion in Davos alongside several Union Ministers and Chief Ministers from other states. Later, he will attend the World Economic Forum’s welcome reception, which is scheduled to take place after midnight IST.

Earlier today, CM Fadnavis also met with Frank-Jürgen Richter, Chairman of Horasis and a former director of the World Economic Forum. During their meeting, Richter proposed organizing a global corporate summit in Mumbai in the near future. They discussed focusing on new technologies and innovation, with plans to hold the summit in collaboration with the Maharashtra government.
