Message from Hon’ble Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, on Republic Day

Heartfelt greetings to everyone on the occasion of the 76th Republic Day of India! Today is a day of immense pride and celebration for all of us as we honor the Republic of our nation. This celebration is a result of the sacrifices of our freedom fighters, the contributions of our Constitution framers, and the dedication of those who upheld the values of our Constitution to build the world’s largest democracy.

I pay tribute to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives fighting naxalism, ensuring the unity and integrity of our country. Their supreme sacrifices have provided us with security and established peace in society.

While many nations began their journey of independence along with India, some succumbed to chaos due to failing governance systems. India, rooted in its democratic traditions and a visionary Constitution, has not only stood firm but also reached new heights of progress.

Our Constitution, a sacred document, embodies the principle of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family) and reflects the spirit of universal brotherhood and human welfare. It resonates with the ideals of social equality preached by Baba Guru Ghasidas, the struggles of Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh, and the anti-untouchability movement led by Pandit Sundarlal Sharma.

The responsibility of preserving and nurturing this legacy lies with us and the future generations. The motto Satyamev Jayate (Truth Alone Triumphs) inspires us to remain hopeful even in the darkest times. This spirit has triumphed over naxalism in severely affected areas.

Under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, our forces have eradicated naxalism with new strategies. The development initiatives in affected regions, including the “Niyad Nella Nar” plan, have brought a transformative change, symbolized by events like the Bastar Olympics, which saw participation from over 165,000 people, including surrendered naxalists and their families.

Our government is also ensuring prosperity for farmers by providing fair prices for their produce and addressing challenges like climate change with innovative solutions. Through our industrial policies, we are attracting significant investments and creating employment opportunities while promoting sustainable and eco-friendly initiatives.

Chhattisgarh’s remarkable cultural and natural wealth, from the Chitrakote Falls to the Guru Ghasidas Tamorpingla Tiger Reserve, is being nurtured to promote tourism and ecological conservation. We are committed to sustainable development and enhancing the lives of our citizens through progressive policies and initiatives.

Let us take pride in our achievements and work together to uphold the ideals of our great Republic. Jai Hind!
