Well-Equipped and High-Quality Jetty to Be Built at Radio Club – Fisheries and Port Development Minister Nitesh Rane

Mumbai – The construction of the new jetty near Radio Club at Gateway of India should be of high quality and equipped with all necessary facilities, directed Fisheries and Ports Development Minister Nitesh Rane.

Minister Rane personally inspected the site where the jetty is being constructed and issued these instructions. During the visit, several key officials were present, including Maharashtra Maritime Board’s Chief Executive Engineer P. Pradeep, Senior Administrative Officer Pradeep Badiye, Chief Engineer Rajaram Puri Gosavi, Chief Port Officer Captain Khara, Chief Maritime Engineer Prakash Chavan, and Superintendent Engineer Shrikant Bangar.

Highlighting the importance of the jetty for both passengers and tourism, Minister Rane emphasized the need for swift completion of the project. He instructed authorities to obtain all necessary departmental approvals promptly and ensure that the infrastructure meets high-quality standards. The new jetty will reduce congestion on the existing one, and the construction should proceed with this in mind.

During his visit, Minister Rane also inspected the area from Gateway of India to Radio Club and reviewed the project details and current progress.

The Radio Club jetty project includes the development of a passenger and tourism terminal building along with several modern amenities. The facilities will feature:

  • An 80m x 80m terminal platform
  • A terminal building
  • A 214-meter-long and 12-meter-wide jetty
  • An amphitheater with a seating capacity of 350 people
  • Waiting lounges, restrooms, drinking water facilities, fire safety systems, and CCTV surveillance

This project aims to enhance Mumbai’s waterfront infrastructure while improving convenience for passengers and tourists.
