Congress Chief Minister has transformed Himachal Pradesh into an ATM for the Gandhi family : HM Shah

Lok Sabha 24 : Hon’ble Union Home Minister & Minister of Cooperation and Senior BJP leader Shri Amit Shah addressed a public meeting in Hamirpur and Kangra, Himachal Pradesh on Saturday. Shri Shah strongly criticized the Congress-led Himachal Pradesh government and praised the infrastructural development and projects initiated by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji. During the event, Himachal Pradesh BJP President Shri Rajeev Bindal, Lok Sabha Candidate Shri Anurag Thakur, Lok Sabha candidate from Kangra, Shri Rajeev Bhardwaj, Kutlehar Assembly Election Candidate Shri Devendra Bhutto and others were present.

Union Home Minister & Minister of Cooperation paid his reverence to Mata Jwala Devi Mandir and Baba Balak Nath’s place. He highlighted that five phases of the election have already been completed and Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has achieved the target of 310 seats. The goal of surpassing “400 Paar” in the 6th and 7th phases is crucial for ensuring that Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji becomes Prime Minister again. The responsibility for crossing “400 Paar” lies with the people voting for the 7th phase, particularly with Himachal Pradesh. While BJP aims for “400 Paar,” he pointed out that Rahul Gandhi’s seats are likely to remain below 40. He urged the people to ensure the victory of BJP candidates in all three Himachal Pradesh constituencies, which would bring a government led by the Lotus symbol to the state.

Shri Shah emphasized that upon the announcement of results on June 4, the NDA will achieve ‘400 Paar’Shri Narendra Modi Ji will secure his position once again as the Prime Minister, while Rahul Gandhi will hold a press conference blaming the EVM for the defeat of the INDI alliance. Congress formed its government in Himachal Pradesh after winning the assembly elections, but after losing in the Lok Sabha, it blames everything on the EVM. Following the June 4 results, responsibility for the Congress’ defeat will likely be placed on its national president, Mallikarjun Kharge, leading to his resignation.

Union Home Minister praised Shri Anurag Thakur’s extensive work in the Yuva Morcha, the cricket association, and now as a member of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s ministerial team. Shri Anurag Thakur has not only focused on his constituency but also worked to align the youth with BJP’s ideology. Shri Thakur’s significant contributions to sports and his dedication to the development of Hamirpur and the entire Himachal Pradesh. Several key infrastructure projects initiated under Thakur’s planning, including the ₹10,000 crore Keeratpur Nahar Chowk four-lane road, the ₹1,300 crore Hamirpur Mandi road expansion, the ₹1,200 crore Hamirpur-Dharampur Mandi highway, and the ₹870 crore Lathiyani Mallipur bridge.

Shri Shah highlighted that the Modi government has achieved significant milestones, such as providing gas cylinders to 10 crore women, providing ‘nal se jal’ to 14 crore households, constructing 12 crore toilets, offering permanent housing to 3 crore underprivileged individuals, providing free treatment up to ₹5 lakh to 60 crore impoverished citizens, and distributing 5kgs of free grains to 80 crore people. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has played a crucial role in safeguarding the nation from the COVID-19 pandemic by ensuring free vaccination for all. During the pandemic, Rahul Gandhi misled the public on vaccines, engaging in unethical politics. However, after the widespread vaccination campaign, both Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi got vaccinated themselves.

Union Home Minister pointed out that since the era of Indira Gandhi, retired soldiers from Devbhoomi and those currently serving have been demanding One Rank One Pension, yet their pleas went unheard. Upon assuming office, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji promptly allocated ₹1,20,000 crore to the accounts of soldiers. OROP is not merely about financial compensation, it’s about honouring the valour of the nation’s soldiers, a commitment Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has honoured. The Congress party kept the Ram Mandir hanging for 70 years, but Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, in just 5 years, not only initiated the construction of the Ram Mandir but also performed the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla. Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi came to Shimla for vacation but did not visit Ram Lalla’ Pran Pratishtha, as they fear their vote bank, which includes Rohingya infiltrators. The public of Himachal will not accept such individuals.

Union Home Minister stated that Congress has betrayed Himachal Pradesh. They promised ₹1500 to women, which has not been delivered. Out of the promised 5 lakh jobs, only 2 lakhs were supposed to be provided, but none have materialized. The promise of 300 units of free electricity remains unfulfilled and the state government also failed to buy cow dung for ₹2 per kilogram as promised. The Congress government in Himachal Pradesh has only indulged in corruption. During times of disaster, the Chief Minister and ministers of the Congress government even embezzled the ₹3200 crore sent by the central government. He said that in the pursuit of Congress’ family interests, the Chief Minister has turned Himachal Pradesh into the party’s ATM. The Congress in Himachal Pradesh utilizes the hard-earned money of the people for contesting elections.

Shri Shah stated that in every village, free medical treatment is being provided, but those who engage in corruption have shut down three colleges in Hamirpur’s Swarghat, Balh Seena, and Lamblu. Governments are meant to open colleges, not close them. Those who have embraced the BJP have resigned on democratic values and accepted the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, and the people are ready to re-elect them. The entire nation unanimously agrees that Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji will be the Prime Minister. From east to west, north to south, whether in the mountains, by the sea, in the jungles, or the cities, the response is the same everywhere.

Union Home Minister highlighted the numerous projects initiated by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji in Himachal Pradesh. These include the inauguration of the 9 km long Atal Tunnel, Parbat Mala Project, Gram Sadak Project, a 1600% increase in railway investments, the establishment of a helipad and a new airport in Sanjoli, the IIM in Sirmaur, and several works under the Smart City project amounting to ₹10,000 crore. In Hamirpur alone, 7,65,000 beneficiaries have availed Ayushman Bharat, 83,000 women have received gas connections, 166,000 households have been provided with toilets, and 566,000 farmers have received ₹6,000. Additionally, the Chintpurni Mata temple has been included in the Prasad Yojana with an allocation of ₹25 crore. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has done extensive work and developed the entire country, with 100% development nationwide and 150% in Himachal Pradesh.

Union Home Minister emphasized that in the past, there were incidents of gunfire within Kashmir, but now such occurrences are prevalent in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Previously, slogans advocating for freedom echoed in Kashmir, but now, those in PoK express a desire to join India, this is attributed to the impact of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s governance. Earlier, tourists were hesitant to visit Kashmir, but now, a staggering 2 crore 10 lakh tourists have visited. The chant of “Modi-Modi” this time signifies the commitment to building ‘Viksit Bharat’, ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat’ and ‘Mahaan Bharat’Shri Shah appealed to the public of Devbhoomi and Veerbhoomi to support the four BJP MPs and six MLAs contesting in the elections, ensuring the return of a double-engine government.
