“I grew up washing teacups, plates and serving tea” – PM Modi
Lok Sabha 24 : Mirzapur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi remarked on Sunday that he had grown up washing dishes and serving tea, emphasizing the deep connection between himself and tea.
“As a child, I grew up washing cups and plates. Serving tea has been a part of my life. The bond between Modi and tea runs deep,” PM Modi said while addressing a rally today.
He continued by criticizing the Samajwadi Party (SP), asserting that voters are unlikely to support a sinking ship. He emphasized that people prefer to vote for a party with a clear path to forming a stable government. PM Modi accused the INDI alliance of being deeply sectarian, casteist, and nepotistic, alleging that their decisions are based on these biases.
Taking a swipe at SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, the Prime Minister noted the presence of numerous promising individuals in the Yadav community but criticized Akhilesh for giving tickets exclusively to family members.
PM Modi accused the SP of releasing terrorists and protecting criminals during their tenure, creating a haven for organized crime in Uttar Pradesh. He praised Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for his bold efforts in advancing the ‘Swachhta Abhiyan’ (Cleanliness Campaign), claiming that under the BJP government, the mafia is now fearful.
Furthermore, PM Modi accused the INDI alliance of targeting the Constitution, particularly regarding reservations for marginalized communities. He cited the SP’s previous manifesto promises of introducing religious-based reservations, which he argued would undermine the rights of SC-ST-OBC communities.
In conclusion, PM Modi reiterated his commitment to serving the interests of the poor, Dalits, and backward classes.
