Chief Minister Inaugurates Super Specialty Hospital in Moshi
Pune : Technology is advancing rapidly, and with the fast-paced modern lifestyle, diseases are also on the rise. In a way, there is a race between technology and illnesses. However, new medical technologies are offering relief to patients. Expressing his confidence, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated that the Patwardhan family will continue the tradition of social commitment by providing advanced healthcare facilities.
He was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of Dhanashree Super Specialty Hospital in Moshi. The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Water Resources Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, MLAs Mahesh Landge, Amit Gorkhe, Anna Bansode, Shankar Jagtap, Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissioner Vinay Kumar Choubey, Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh, and hospital founders Dr. Rajeev Patwardhan and Ravindra Bhusari.
Government’s Commitment to Affordable Healthcare
CM Fadnavis acknowledged that healthcare costs have increased significantly in recent years. To address this, the Maharashtra government has introduced a Universal Healthcare System. Under the Mahatma Phule Jan Arogya Yojana, over 1,300 medical services are provided free of cost at major hospitals. Additionally, the state government aims to integrate 1,800 healthcare services from the Central Government into this initiative.
He urged Dhanashree Hospital to participate in this initiative, ensuring that even financially struggling patients can access necessary treatments. The Chief Minister’s Assistance Cell and Charitable Assistance Cell also provide financial aid for illnesses not covered under standard healthcare packages, and efforts will be made to extend these benefits through Dhanashree Hospital. By leveraging these government schemes, advanced medical services can reach those in need, he added.
Cutting-Edge Medical Facilities
Highlighting the social commitment of the Patwardhan family, CM Fadnavis stated that Dhanashree Hospital will offer state-of-the-art facilities. He emphasized that surgical advancements, including robotic surgery, have made complex procedures safer and more efficient, as they minimize risks to surrounding organs.
Deputy CM Ajit Pawar stressed that quality healthcare is the foundation of a strong society. He noted that advanced medical services are now needed not just in major cities but also in rural and semi-urban areas. Recognizing this demand, Dhanashree Hospital has launched a modern 100-bed facility. The state government continues to prioritize healthcare, implementing various initiatives to improve medical services in rural areas.
He further emphasized that private institutions like Dhanashree Hospital complement government efforts, strengthening the public healthcare system. With technology bringing transformative changes to the medical field, Maharashtra has taken the lead in leveraging cutting-edge healthcare solutions. Pawar expressed confidence that Dhanashree Hospital would provide top-quality medical care to patients.
