– A New Direction for Accurate Property Demarcation – Director, Autonomous Governance Department
Jaipur – Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Digital India initiative has given the country a new direction, and as part of this, the Digital India Land Records Modernization Program will see the launch of the Naksha Project on February 18 in Rajasthan and other states across India. The state government has selected 10 cities for this project, including Bhiwadi, Kishangarh, Beawar, Sawai Madhopur, Jaisalmer, Pushkar, Bagru, Behror, Nawalgarh, and Nathdwara.
Under this initiative, the entire municipal land area in these cities will undergo digital mapping using drone surveys, leading to the digitization of land ownership records. This will help enhance transparency and facilitate easy access to land-related information. The state-level launch event will be inaugurated by Urban Development, Housing, and Autonomous Governance Minister, Shri Jhabar Singh Kharra.
Enhancing Urban Development with Digital Land Mapping
Director of the Department of Local Bodies (DLB), Indrajit Singh, stated that the Naksha Project will provide a new direction to urban development. The initiative will enable the accurate demarcation of urban properties while ensuring that ownership details are registered and land records are available in digital format. This will allow citizens to access their property details online with a single click. The project aims to reduce land disputes, secure property rights, and promote well-planned urban development. He also appealed to the public to actively support and cooperate in the initiative.
