CM Stalin Inaugurates ₹50.79 Cr Projects, Lays Foundation for ₹121.43 Cr Initiatives
On behalf of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, the Honorable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru M.K. Stalin, laid the foundation stone for 25 new projects valued at ₹121.43 crore and inaugurated 15 completed projects worth ₹50.79 crore.
The Tamil Nadu Secretariat, the Honorable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru M.K. Stalin, laid the foundation stone for 24 new projects in 16 temples and an assistant commissioner’s office building at an estimated cost of ₹121.43 crore on behalf of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department. He also inaugurated 15 completed projects in 7 temples, constructed at a cost of ₹50.79 crore.
Significant initiatives include the “All Caste Priests” scheme, Kumbhabhishekam (consecration) of 2,608 temples, renovation of temple towers, restoration of temple chariots, improving basic amenities for devotees, reclaiming encroached temple lands, expanding the Annadhanam (free meal) scheme, setting up medical centers in hill temples and major temples, starting new educational institutions, launching a livestock farm scheme, and digitalizing temple administration. These projects are implemented under the visionary leadership of the Honorable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru M.K. Stalin, as part of the state government’s commitment to the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department. Further announcements made in the state assembly are being implemented in a phased manner.
Laying the Foundation Stone for 24 New Projects in 16 Temples and an Assistant Commissioner’s Office Building:
- Chennai, Egmore, Arulmigu Srinivasa Perumal Temple: ₹25 crore allocated for a new wedding hall.
- Dindigul District, Palani, Arulmigu Dhandayuthapani Swamy Temple: ₹22 crore for a new building at Ottanchatram, Palaniandavar Matriculation School, and Hostel.
- Tiruvallur District, Siruvarpuri, Arulmigu Balasubramaniyaswamy Temple: ₹16.50 crore for developing basic amenities for devotees.
- Chennai, Gopalapuram, Arulmigu Sundararaja Perumal Temple: ₹13.20 crore for establishing a cattle shelter.
- Erode District, Bannari, Arulmigu Bannari Mariamman Temple: ₹8.50 crore for constructing three marriage halls and renovating the wedding hall.
- Namakkal, Arulmigu Narasimha Swamy Temple: ₹7.19 crore for building a residential complex for temple employees.
- Singanallur District, Thirupparankundram, Arulmigu Nindra Narayana Perumal Temple: ₹6.65 crore for constructing a new wedding hall.
- Chennai, Poongavanam, Arulmigu Ekambareswarar Temple: ₹4.19 crore for three new multi-purpose halls.
- Kanyakumari District, Kalimala, Arulmigu Kumaraswamy Temple: ₹3 crore for a new wedding hall.
- Theni District, Veerapandi, Arulmigu Sowmariyamman Temple: ₹2.30 crore for two residential quarters for temple employees.
- Coimbatore District, Idumbalayam, Arulmigu Anumandharayaswamy Temple: ₹2.28 crore for a new five-story pilgrim guest house.
- Chennai, Royapettah, Arulmigu Periyapalayathamman Temple: ₹1.95 crore for constructing a multi-purpose hall.
- Namakkal District, Shollimalai, Arulmigu Arappaleeswarar Swamy Temple: ₹1.82 crore for basic infrastructure development.
- Villupuram District, Thirukovilur, Arulmigu Chandramouleeswarar Temple: ₹1.51 crore for temple renovation.
- Tirunelveli District, Tirunelveli: ₹1.50 crore for constructing an assistant commissioner’s office building.
- Madurai District, Alagar Kovil, Arulmigu Kallalagar Temple: ₹1.50 crore for a school building at Sundararaja Higher Secondary School and ₹1.14 crore for temple renovation.
- Mayiladuthurai District, Thirukkadaiyur, Arulmigu Sugandhavaneswarar Swamy Temple: ₹1.20 crore for building a dormitory for devotees.
In total, the Honorable Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for 24 new projects and an assistant commissioner’s office building worth ₹121.43 crore.
Inauguration of 15 Completed Projects in 7 Temples:
- Thoothukudi District, Thiruchendur, Arulmigu Subramaniya Swamy Temple: ₹20.50 crore for a newly built queue complex, administrative office, and mandapam.
- Madurai District, Alagar Kovil, Arulmigu Kallalagar Temple: ₹9.10 crore for roads, boundary walls, and water drainage systems from the entrance arch to the temple.
- Chennai, Poongavanam, Arulmigu Ekambareswarar Temple: ₹6.75 crore for residential quarters for priests and employees, along with new multi-purpose halls.
- Virudhunagar District, Kattalai, Arulmigu Nachadavar Thavirtharuliyashwamy Temple: ₹3.95 crore for temple renovation.
- Tiruppur District, Ayyampalayam, Arulmigu Kottaiyur Ayyanar Temple: ₹2.10 crore for priest residential quarters.
- Villupuram District, Perumbakkam, Arulmigu Kottiswarar Swamy Temple: ₹1.97 crore for constructing a wedding hall.
- Coimbatore District, Pundi, Arulmigu Chinnayiangiri Aandavar Temple: ₹1.97 crore for a meditation hall, medical center, and drinking water facility.
In total, the Honorable Chief Minister inaugurated 15 completed projects worth ₹50.79 crore.
