DIG Northern Range Visits Kolasib

Kolasib – Pu C. Lalthanmawia, IPS, DIG, Northern Range, who has been on a two-day visit to Kolasib District, visited the Superintendent of Police (SP) Office in Kolasib today. During this visit, he held a meeting with the police personnel and delivered a motivational speech. Later, he also met with members of the MJA Kolasib, chaired by Kolasib SP Pu David H. Lalthangliana, in the SP Office Chamber.

During the interaction, DIG Lalthanmawia emphasized the importance of patriotism and dedication in police service. He encouraged the officers to uphold their duties diligently and with integrity, ensuring that their work remains committed to serving and protecting the people.

While addressing members of MJA Kolasib, DIG Lalthanmawia highlighted the significance of maintaining law and order. He stressed that Kolasib District, being a border area, requires heightened security and vigilance. Therefore, enhancing police infrastructure and resources is of utmost importance, he stated.

He further mentioned that police misconduct exists across Mizoram, making it essential to collaborate with community leaders and voluntary organizations to foster better policing and public trust.

During his visit, DIG Lalthanmawia also inspected the Bairabi and Zophai check gates, reviewing the ongoing security measures. He interacted with the officers on duty to understand their challenges and requirements. Additionally, during his meeting at the SP Office, discussions were held on police discipline and the need for increased support for female officers.

The Northern Range of Mizoram comprises three districts: Aizawl, Mamit, and Kolasib. Before visiting Kolasib, DIG Lalthanmawia had already toured Mamit District as part of his inspection schedule.
