Assam CM calls out Mamata Banerjee to take a holy dip at Sangam and experience the magnificence firsthand

Lucknow : Assam Chief Minister and BJP’s firebrand leader Himanta Biswa Sarma, on Friday, responded to West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee’s controversial remarks, urging her to visit the Mahakumbh and experience its grand arrangements firsthand.
Meanwhile, West Bengal’s Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari hailed Prayagraj as the ‘Amrit Sangam,’ calling the sacked dip at Mahakumbh a moment of pride for every Sanatani.
The spiritual significance of Mahakumbh was further highlighted as several prominent figures, including industrialist Rajesh Adani, a delegation from Trinidad and Tobago, and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) MP Shambhavi Choudhary, took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam.
Praising the meticulous arrangements by CM Yogi Adityanath and the local administration, they described the management as exemplary.
Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, after taking a dip in the sacred waters with his family, strongly criticized the opposition, stating, ” Congress party and the INDIA alliance are anti-Sanatan. I would request Mamata Didi to come to Mahakumbh, witness the arrangements herself, and take a dip in the Sangam.”
Emphasizing the eternal significance of Sanatan Dharma, he added, “Sanatan is the past, Sanatan is the present, and Sanatan is the future of the world.” He also expressed gratitude for being able to participate in the Mahakumbh and extended his congratulations to CM Yogi Adityanath and the Uttar Pradesh government for their exceptional organization of the grand event.
Himanta Biswa Sarma shared photos and videos on his social media account, expressing his deep spiritual experience. He wrote, “The dip I took at Triveni Sangam today cannot be described in words. It is not just a confluence of rivers but a sacred meeting point of the faith, spirituality, and heritage of millions of saints.”
He also described Mahakumbh as a “divine bridge connecting humans to Lord Mahadev.” Earlier, he shared, “I feel immensely blessed to have taken a holy dip in Triveni Sangam with my family in the sacred land of Prayagraj. Sanatan Dharma will exist as long as the sun and moon shine. Har Har Mahadev!”
West Bengal’s Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari arrived at the VIP Ghat from Bamrauli Airport on Friday. He described the experience as a fulfillment of his spiritual journey. He stated, “As a Hindu, a Sanatani, and a son of Bharat Mata, taking a sacred dip in the Triveni Sangam during the Mahakumbh after 144 years feels like receiving ‘Amrit’. Prayagraj is truly the land of the Amrit Sangam.”
He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s efficient execution for the grand arrangements, while also appreciating the efforts of the local administration.
On the same day, Rajesh Adani, Managing Director of Adani Enterprises and brother of industrialist Gautam Adani, performed rituals and took a ceremonial dip at Triveni Sangam along with his wife and family.
Expressing gratitude to CM Yogi, he said, “The experience was divine. We feel truly blessed and prayed for the prosperity of our nation.” His wife, Shilin R. Adani, described the visit as “a deeply spiritual and incredible experience.” She praised the administration’s efforts in bringing people together and called it a commendable achievement for the country.
Meanwhile, Rohan Sinanan, a member of the delegation from Trinidad and Tobago, shared his excitement about being part of the Mahakumbh. He remarked, “It is a privilege to be here. I believe this grand event should be shared not just with the people of India but with the entire world.” He also emphasized the need to focus on the planet’s sustainability as humanity moves forward.
